Ateliersi – Via San Vitale 69, Bologna | May 5, 2025

On May 5, 2025, the cultural association Nexus APS presents the European project TRANScenDANCE in Bologna with a public event hosted by Ateliersi, an artistic collective active in the performing and theatrical arts. The gathering will take place from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at Atelier Sì, Via San Vitale 69, and will also be accessible online with prior registration.

This event offers an opportunity to reflect together on how performance art can become a space for expression, listening, and transformation—promoting inclusion and visibility for trans and non-binary subjectivities.

A public presentation bridging art, research, and cultural engagement

The event will be introduced by Simona Bertozzi (she/her), choreographer and artistic director of Nexus, who will present the aims and path of TRANScenDANCE, a project co-funded by the European Union. A discussion will then follow with artists, researchers, and cultural practitioners who connect artistic practices with theoretical reflections on identity, the body, and representation.

Speakers:

  • Ariadne Mikou (she/her) – Independent researcher and educator in Dance and Performing Arts
  • Luce Sant’Ambrogio (she/her) – Actress, writer, trainer, PhD in Gender and Performance Studies (joining online)
  • Fiorenza Menni (she/her) – Actress, writer, and artistic director of Ateliersi

The conversation will be open to the public, with space for questions and contributions, encouraging a participatory and horizontal exchange.
