*ROD.BINA is a word-play in Serbian language, denoting Gender Stage, while connoting the familiarity of all human genders.

The four-day event titled ROD.BINA (GENDER-ON-STAGE), supporting TIGV, LGBTQI+ and feminist creative professionals and activists and promoting gender identities in artistic and cultural expression, was organised by the BAZAART Association from April 11th to 14th 2025 in Belgrade, Serbia.

Planed and implemented in partnership with numerous gender and human rights activists from Serbia, the innovative format of a festival-symposium featured 21 programs encompassing dance and free movement workshops, presentations of artistic and cultural practices, discussions in different formats, music events and stage productions reflecting and performing gender identities.

Over 40 artists, activists, theoreticians and researchers partook in the program and app. 200 citizens visited as audiences. Many trans and non-binary persons, as well as other members of the LGBTQI+ community partook as presenters and as audiences.

Although the program coincided with the large right-wing government convention, which affected the event schedule, this didn’t prevent it from being nicely attended and successfully accomplished.

The event was widely publicized online in social media and networks.
