Fundación Teatro Joven’’s mission is to build bridges between the Performing Arts and society by placing young people as protagonists, with special emphasis on education, through a theatrical project aimed at promoting their emotional development, critical thinking, and social awareness. Additionally, the foundation aims to generate employment for young artists, technicians, and managers who seek a generational closeness with their main users. These young professionals have the opportunity to work with experienced professionals to create stage languages based on artistic quality and emotion, and to develop projects to assist young people in vulnerable situations.

That is why the Foundation develops a line of emotional education and peace through the stage productions of LaJoven, a professional theatrical project that mobilises, in collaboration with the educational community, hundreds of thousands of teenagers and young people to its morning performances, as well as the general audience to its evening performances held in theaters throughout Spain. Since 2012 and in its ten years of existence, LaJoven has premiered 23 shows attended by approximately 300,000 spectators in over 95 cities.

Likewise, we train young artists and educators and develop projects that harness the benefits of artistic expression and creativity to serve the prevention of dependencies, as well as for therapeutic purposes for the mental health of teenagers with acute mental disorders.
