BAZAART is an association in culture and the arts, committed to interdisciplinary exploration and creative production. Established in 2002 as a collaborative platform, BAZAART connects artists, cultural researchers, educators, activists, and professionals from diverse backgrounds. With members from contemporary dance, theatre, performance art, visual arts, multimedia, creative writing, translation, cultural research, education, and activism, BAZAART fosters a dynamic environment for innovation, collaboration and social action.

BAZAART specializes in collective creation to produce dance, theatre, performance art, and multimedia productions, exploring themes related to democracy, equality, and inclusion, with professional performers and emerging talents, as well as mentoring a youth theatre group, fostering creative and critical thinking skills.

Through artistic mediums, we facilitate social and personal development among participants of all ages. Drawing from over 20 years of action research, we have developed expertise in creative participatory learning methodologies. BAZAART’s accredited seminars empower teachers and educators to apply creative pedagogies, fostering critical reflection and inclusivity. We prioritize intercultural understanding and support gender, generation, socioeconomic and other aspects of diversity, including promotion of transgender rights.

BAZAART organizes seminars, workshops, conferences, festivals and publishing at local, regional, and international levels. Due to its significant achievements, in 2019 BAZAART was designated by the Ministry of Culture of Serbia as a Representative Association in Culture for Education and Scientific Research.
